Rock L8 Outdoor Climb with RRGCC- Athlete Registration

We are excited to partner with the Red River Gorge Climber's Coalition for an outdoor climb at the Red River Gorge on Saturday June 13th! Bluegrass Climbing School will provide rock climbing guides and all necessary equipment. This event is open to adaptive climbers who are able to navigate an uphill hiking trail appx 1/4 mile long with roots, rocks, etc. *Please note- there are no accessible restroom facilities at this climbing location. There is a small vault toilet onsite, with no grab bars. We will have volunteers available to assist with hiking and climbing.

Transportation is provided by the Red River Gorge Shuttle! The shuttle will leave Louisville at 7:30am and will make a stop in Lexington at appx. 9am. It will drop off in the same locations after the event is over (appx 6:30pm in Lexington, and 8pm in Louisville, however drop off times are subject to change.) The shuttle does NOT have a wheelchair lift and users will need to board the bus via stairs with a handrail.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

• 7:30am Shuttle pick up in Louisville
• 9am Shuttle pick up in Lexington
• 10:30am Meet at climbing area parking lot
• 10:30-11am Hike to climbing wall
• 11am-4:30pm Climbing!
• 4:30-5pm Hike to parking lot
• 5pm Depart the Red River Gorge
• 6:30pm Shuttle drop off in Lexington (subject to change)
• 8pm Shuttle drop off in Louisville (subject to change)
