VetsCycle- Silver Comet Bike Barn - Century Ride

🚴‍♂️ Catalyst Sports Monthly Cycling Group Ride! 🚴‍♀️

This is a self supported ride.  

Veterans Cycling Program (VetCycle)

The VetCycle Program is open to both adaptive and non-adaptive Veterans. Join us for a group ride, connect with fellow Veterans, and enjoy being part of a supportive, team-based community.

Participants will ride along the Silver Comet Trail in Mableton.

Equipment & Participation

This program is open to Veterans with visible or invisible disabilities, as well as non-adaptive Veterans.

If you do not own an adaptive bike, one is available for you to borrow for the duration of the program.

We are committed to removing barriers to participation, including assistance with bike transportation and storage. If you have questions or need support, please contact desiree@catalystsports.org.

Ride Day Schedule

• 6:00 pm – Bike fittings for adaptive Veterans borrowing a Catalyst fleet bike

• 6:35 pm – Sun Rise  Wheels down begin the ride

• 12:30 pm – reach Alabama State line (56 miles)

• 6:30 pm – Arrival hopefully at the Bike Barn by 6pm  (112 miles total!!!!)

Essential Eligibility for VetCycle Participants

Participants must:

• Be a Veteran

• Have a desire to support fellow Veteran

• have the ability to ride 60 plus miles at 12 mph

What to Bring

• Water bottle

• spare tubes (be able to change a tube on your own)

• Snacks or food

• money for food

• Medications

• Sunglasses or safety eyewear (if needed)

• Closed-toe shoes

• Your own bike (adaptive bikes are available to borrow if needed)

• A can-do attitude!
