Veterans 9/11 Memorial Climb- Participant Registration

We are excited to return to the Red River Gorge for our annual 9/11 Memorial Climb for Veterans! Please read the accessibility and eligibility information below carefully.

Due to grant funding requirements, this trip is for veterans with physical disabilities. If you are a veteran who would like to participate but you do not have a physical disability, please sign up as a volunteer instead. 

Additional trip details:

• Rock climbing equipment is available to borrow (climbing helmet, harness, and climbing shoes)

• Lodging provided at the ADA accessible BedRock Lodge. Participants will be in a shared room with one other person. If you would like private accommodations, there are many cabin rental options nearby. 

• All meals are provided

• The trail includes rugged terrain with hills, rocks, and roots. Participants must be able to hike 1 mile on uneven terrain with minimal assistance. GRIT Freedom Chairs will be available to borrow.

• Some rock climbing experience is beneficial, but not required (indoor or outdoor.) Rock climbing guides will lead the group up the routes and provide all necessary safety equipment and instruction.
